Top Reasons For Zone Diet Meal Delivery

Why are people turning to zone diet meal delivery? We live in a modern society with its advances in education, technology and medicine, yet we still find a high proportion of the population unhealthy and hitting the grave way before they should be. Obesity, high cholesterol levels and heart attacks to name a few could all be reduced if only we paid more attention to our diets. Here are top reasons why people are making the most of the zone meal delivery system;

1) If you’re unable to cook a healthy meal, or meal full stop, then eating a healthy diet may not be possible. If you haven’t moved on from your student diet of beer and fast food, then I guess a most welcome sight is a healthy meal delivery. Zone diet delivered to straight to your front door – move over re-microwaved pizza!

2) Another common complaint is the lack of time to be able to cook (that’s if you can cook in the first place). Not having time to cook a healthy meal often means a diet of canned goods and takeaways. A high fat and low nutrition diet – your road to the grave.

3) Perhaps eating healthily to you means a rabbit diet of lettuce, carrots and water. Eating healthily fortunately isn’t this. If on the other hand you just don’t know where to even begin to cook a healthy meal, zone diet meal delivery could be our answer.

4) If you’re overweight or obese, losing weight can be difficult, especially when there are just too many darn temptations. The thought of parting with your favorite foods seems too unbearable. But if you knew how delicious healthy food can taste (often better in fact), you’d be voting for the zone meal delivery hands down.

5) Perhaps you really want to watch what you eat, but who can be bothered to count calories? And it’s not just about calories, keeping track of your nutrition is just as, if not more important. Do you really want to start counting carbs, protein and fats in your diet too?

6) There’s a difference between eating healthy and crash dieting. Don’t deprive your body of the nutrients it needs. You can lose weight by eating right. What’s more, people who crash diet often gain back the pounds they lost, if not more.

7) Fixing yourself a delicious and healthy meal is something you’ve always wanted to do. Problem is, your cupboard is bare and your fridge is fresh out of anything edible. Shopping for ingredients can be expensive and it can be a pain to create variety in meals without a lot of different ingredients to play around with.

8) If you are a fussy eater, you may be one of those types who just demand something that isn’t on the restaurant menu. There’s nothing wrong being a fussy eater, in fact with zone diet meal delivery, you can make as many requests as you want and tweak your meals to perfection.

9) If it’s good enough for movie stars it’s good enough for you. If you are after high quality produce that’s healthy, delicious and puts you on the road to looking good, then zone diet meal delivery is right up your street.

10) You’re a food lover at heart who just craves good food and can’t be doing with rubbish fast food or microwaved meals. If you’re single, then it’s pain to cook a full blown meal for just one. So what are your options? You guessed it -a top quality meal delivery: zone diet delivered straight to your door, you can enjoy delicious meals everyday.

Zone diet meal delivery is nothing new, but it’s surprising how many people don’t know about it. If you’re tired of eating the same rubbish and unhealthy food and want to get back on track, then it maybe something to consider.

Low to No Carb Diets Should Carry a Health Warning

Low-carb/high-protein diets-such as Atkins, South Beach, the Zone, and Sugar Busters-are getting a lot of attention these days, as alternatives to the more traditional weight-loss diets that stress carbohydrates and limit fats.

Low to No carb diets like the Atkins plan might claim to promote greater weight loss than more conventional diets that recommend a low-fat and high-carb intake.

But a new study confirms this isn’t the case – and in fact, suggests that Low to No carb diets may actually be harmful to health.

In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 20 obese adults followed either a Low to No carb diet where just 5 percent of calories came from carbs, or a moderately-restricted carb diet where 40 percent of calories came from carbs

After six weeks, the researchers discovered the two groups had lost roughly the same amount of body fat and weight, but the Low to No carb diet was linked with several adverse metabolic changes.

As more research has been carried out, it’s become increasingly clear that there are no real benefits to following a Low to No carb diet – and there are very real health risks of Low to No carb diets.

Even though this is a small study, it proves it really is calories that count when it comes to losing weight. Low to No carb diets can offer more risks than benefits

Our advice: make sure you get those calories by eating a sensible, healthy diet that includes plenty of fruit, vegetables and fiber-rich carbs like wholegrain bread, whole wheat pasta and brown rice.

Can You Lose Weight Fast? The Metabolism Diet – Truth Or Fiction?

How To Lose Weight Fast? 30lbs in 30 Days – Truth or Fiction?

Can you lose weight fast?

Can you really lose 30 pounds in 30 days? If so, can you burn an extra 3500 calories a day?

I have, like you, read lots of advertisements that make all kinds claims: like magic pills, complicated eating and exercise plans that claim to lose weight fast! Is this possible? Can we lose weight fast or is this a scam?

How would you like to lose twenty pounds of fat and keep it off forever?

First, can we lose weight fast?

Our popular culture would have us believe that the best way to lose weight is to lose it fast. This means putting ourselves in a state of denial and adhering to an eating regime that is usually unsustainable. Today, advertisers spend billions to show you how to get and eat fast foods, then they spend millions trying to convince you that you can lose weight fast. They tell you that you can lose decades of fat build retention in thirty days if you buy their products.

A lot of this marketing to lose the excess weight has been focused on eating carbohydrates and eliminating meat and protein from our diet. Perhaps we should all be vegetarians and just eat greens! It makes sense on a basic level, particularly when you look at our over eating, carbohydrate driven, fast food culture. However I personally have always thought there was something missing in the vegetarian ideals but I never new what it was. That is, until I heard Dr. Donald Layman speak.

According to Dr. Layman, the acknowledged worldwide expert in metabolism research, eating good protein is not the problem – in fact it is the solution. The truth exposed by Layman is that North American’s are not eating enough good protein – particularly at the right time of day!

Layman states that belly fat is the most dangerous place to have excess weight, as it is a precursor to heart attacks and strokes. Typically, men gain fat around their waist and women gain the weight around the thighs. However both women and men are seeing their waistlines expand as they age. The average weight gain for both sexes is said to a minimum of ten pounds per decade. That’s ten pounds of fat every ten years!

Take out a measuring tape and measure your waist. If your measurement is plus 35″ plus for a woman or 40″ plus a man, you are in the danger zone. You need to reduce your waistline and melt the belly fat now. Your life may depend on it!

Furthermore, as part of Dr. Layman’s research, he states that losing weight fast may actually cause you to become fatter. If you have gained weight slowly for a decade you can’t expect it to fall off in a few days.

Here’s an exercise, do the math with me to see what it would actually take to lose weight fast.

Start with some basic measures like what is a Calorie (C), a Basal Metabolic rate (BMR), Lean Muscle Mass (LMM) and Activity Burn Rate (ABR). Do you really want to lose weight fast? Let’s see?

Calculate your LMM for your BMR x C then add your ABR… STOP – this is way too complicated! Let’s make it simple with some real numbers.

If you eat a very lean, healthy diet (like a bird!) your calorie intake is about 1940 C for women and 2550 C for men. The truth is that most of us have been gaining an average of 10 extra pounds of fat per decade. So we are all eating far more than this minimal amount of calories per day!

To lose weight fast, at the proposed rate of one pound per day – we need to burn an extra 3500 calories per day. To meet our goal to lose weight fast – 30lbs in 30 days, we have to eat like birds and burn about 6000 calories total per day.

This means we would need to do 4.2 hours of intense exercise per day on top of our normal activity and average BMR burn rate.

I guess it is possible, but not probable. Losing weight fast is definitely unlikely and it’s probably dangerous! As a professional martial artist for 35 years and life long exercise teacher, I have never seen anyone accomplish anything like this. Not even close!

The truth is, even if you could lose weight this fast – the facts state that 99% percent of us would gain it all back – plus a couple of pounds!

Even worse is we would create a Yo-Yo effect by losing a high percentage muscle tissue during the weight loss stage. Then when we gained the weight back, most of this new excess would be fat. The yo-yo effect makes you fatter. So for all your suffering, self discipline and self-denial you wind up worse off than if you had never started.

Discouraged? Don’t be – I do know what does work. I know, because I did it. I found a way to lose weight fast – a real loss of 9 lbs of fat and 2 1/2 inches off my waist in six weeks.

All without extra exercise, starving and super human discipline!

I’m losing the belly fat on a proper metabolic diet and it is not a sham or a scam. In fact it may be the easiest, most effect plan you have ever tried. It has over 30 years of clinical research and is now becoming the standard for losing weight effectively – particularly around the middle. Fasting, starving and living exclusively off salad are not necessary – in fact these diets work against your metabolic system and your long-term success to keep excess weight off.

Dr. Layman says you can naturally raise your metabolism by making balanced proteins your friend. Eat them early in the day and you will start to lose the cravings for carbohydrates and you’ll begin to control your insulin needs. Your body will feel satisfied and energetic because your lean muscle tissue is being fed. Properly balanced proteins increase your muscle mass and your metabolic BMR when you eat the right foods at the right time. If you eat the right balance of lean proteins in the morning, you will super charge your metabolic system and begin to rebuild your muscle mass.

This alone will start you on the road to lose two decades of fat retention without starving or excessive exercise and then keep it off forever. In my opinion, it’s a scam to say that you could lose 30lbs in 30 days! However, I do think you can lose weight fast – but a realistic goal is to lose 20 pounds of fat in about 90 days.

This goal isn’t rocket science but is revolutionary. It’s based on the metabolism work and research of Dr. Donald Layman and it works like nothing you have seen before. The truth is, I have found it to be the most effective and real life plan to lose the weight that I have ever experienced.

Fat Burning Zone Truths – Facts About This Diet

Much of the myths in weight loss revolve around the fat burning zone. Proponents of aerobic exercise typically advice their students to stick with slow, steady, and constant aerobic activities to burn more fat. The problem is that this is a huge miscalculation.

At rest, the body consumes energy from mostly three sources: protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Since protein is very hard to process, the body uses fats and carbohydrates first, with a proportion of 70/30. However, as the body moves, the source shifts from fat to carbohydrates. As the body performs more intense activities, the more lipids are eliminated in the fuel mix. So simply, the body uses carbohydrates to sustain high-intensity activities.

Now, through the application of simple logic, it can be derived that in order to use more fats, the activity has to be in a slow, steady pace. This is good logic but totally wrong. You see, though the body uses stored energy at rest or during low-intensity activities, it consumes fewer calories, however. The reverse is true when you perform high-intensity exercises. That’s fact one.

The second fact is that you are closest to this burning zone when you are resting, not when you are exercising. Literally, you really don’t have to do anything to achieve the condition wherein you burn the highest proportion of stored energy.

So ultimately, it is a question of whether you want to balance the usage of fat and carbohydrates based on percentages, or you want to rely on the total energy lost from the body. Is it the percentage or is it the absolute amount of calorie expended?

Since nothing much can be done about this natural system of using body fuels, all you have to do is look at the bottom line. Obviously, you would want to get closer to burning more energy.

High Protein Low Carb Diets Are Proven to Work

A Study from the Duke University Medical Center reveals that low carb diets really do work. A low carb diet is effective if you know how carbohydrates affect the body when you eat them. The researchers at Duke University Medical Center state “we found that the low-carb diet was more effective for weight loss.” This is good news for people struggling with weight loss.

A high carb diet increases your blood sugar. When your blood sugar is elevated your body reacts to it by producing insulin in order to regulate your blood sugar levels. Once your body over produces insulin it stores the excess as fat but then increases your craving for carbs. The carb craving happens because insulin levels drop your blood sugar level and the carbs would elevate your sugar levels. It is a vicious cycle that repeats itself and causes you to gain unwanted weight.

A very low carbohydrate diet allows your body to start a process called Ketosis. Ketosis is a process that burns stored fat for energy. This is why low carb and high protein diets work so well. You burn stored fat and consume enough protein so that the body does not burn stored muscle for energy. Do not confuse ketoacidosis as ketosis. This is a mistake that happens often. Ketoacidosis is condition that develops in people who have type 1 diabetes and can be very dangerous.

Low carb and high protein diets have proven their effectiveness and many diet plans like The Zone, South Beach, and Adkins have all used this method in some way to help many people lose a significant amount of weight. The amount of carbohydrates that you are allowed to ingest varies in each of the previous diet plans. When on a low carbohydrate diet the common element is to restrict your carbohydrate consumption to 20 percent of the calories that you eat. Not only are your restricting your carbohydrate intake, you also must restrict the type of carbohydrates that you consume. Mostly complex carbohydrates are forbidden. This means that sugar, flour, pasta, and other starches are off limit.

By substituting fresh vegetables for heavy foods like potatoes or pasta, a low carb dieter will reduce their carb intake and consume more fiber which helps the dieter keep from feeling hungry since fiber fills you up. Fiber is great for the digestive system, too. The proteins a low carb dieter will eat are recommended low fat options. Skinless chicken breast, fresh grilled fish, lean beef, low fat cheese and egg whites. Low carb diets do not leave you hungry since quite a bit of food can be eaten. You just have to eat the right foods. Most low carb diets consist of three smaller meals and three snacks. You will eat six times a day. This helps to regulate your blood sugar and reduce cravings. Typical snacks are almonds or cottage cheese with fresh fruit.

Please consult your doctor before starting any weight loss program. Choosing a low carb diet will not only help you reduce food cravings but will also help you burn unwanted fat and help increase your fiber intake which is great for your digestive system. Lower carb diets are a healthier way to eat.

The famous weight watchers diet which has been around for many years and which millions throughout the world have found great success with, features the weight watchers point system. The weight watchers plan is one of the most successful the world over and has stuck around where the majority of other diets have long since failed. While the points system is one of the main reasons, the other is the immense support that attending weight watchers meetings give the person. All members of weight watchers are encouraged to take an active part in the meetings and discussions, along with this weight watchers gives advice, you can join in forums online and take advantage of the many tools they have and also follow their diet plans in books and even buy weight watchers brand foods.

The actual amount of points which you are able to have for the day will depend of factors such as your body weight when joining and the amount of weight which you are trying to lose. The amount of weight which is lost is done slowly with the focus being on a long term plan for a healthier lifestyle which leads to gradual weight loss and then sticking with the new regime to hold the weight off.

The weight watchers plan is without a doubt one of the best ways to diet and to follow and stick to a diet, the reason being that the diet not only focuses on the weight that is to be lost right now, but also in keeping that weight off in the future. The diet plan shows you how to alter your lifestyle and way of eating to include nutritious and healthy foods while not making the mistake of totally denying some foods as with the majority of other diets.

The points system effectively teaches good portion control which is usually one of the biggest problems when it comes to dieting as very few people realise how many calories they are eating in the portions on their plate, which leads to overeating.

The weight watchers plan is without a doubt one of the easiest and most flexible of all diets to follow and this is backed up with the excellent support from other like minded people which are the main reasons why weight watchers has been around for so long and will continue to be there in the future.

The Cookie Diet – What is it and is it Right For You?

Wondering about The Cookie Diet? Chances are you’ve heard rumblings in the diet world about this funny diet. Eat cookies to lose weight? Is it possible? Or is it too good to be true?

While there are a number of ‘cookie type diets‘ out there, the main one that seems to have had the most legitimate success is Dr Sanford Siegals cookie diet.

Dr Siegal originally developed his diet in 1975 to help some of his patients lose weight. He came up with a very specific, unique cookie recipe that included a special amino-acid protein blend. This protein added into the cookies helps to curb hunger and keep you full.

So does it work?

Well, it seems to work pretty well. Dr Siegal has claimed to help over 500,000 people lose weight with his diet. And when you really look at it, you can see why.

There are 2 main reasons that diets don’t work:

#1) You Get Hungry (and break your diet)

#2) You Feel Deprived Eating Food That Tastes Bland and Boring (and break your diet)

The Cookie Diet by Dr Siegal solves both of these problems – which is probably why it’s so popular.

With the hunger-controlling protein formula, the cookies help curb hunger and keep you feeling fuller longer. So hunger doesn’t rear it’s ugly head and you aren’t tempted to break your diet.

They also taste good – and who doesn’t love cookies? So you feel like you’re ‘cheating’ and eating cookies all day. There’s no sense of deprivation so you don’t end up breaking your diet.

How it Works:

With Dr Siegals plan you eat up to 6 cookies per day (i.e. 3 for breakfast and 3 for lunch). Then follow this with a sensible dinner.

If you follow the instructions, the diet itself is about 1000-1200 calories per day. This sets up a calorie deficit that will help you lose weight.

Obviously the main benefit to this diet is that you get to eat cookies, enjoy yourself without feeling deprived – and still lose weight.

Another benefit to this diet is that it’s convenient. You don’t have spend hours (which most of us don’t have) buying and/or preparing special diet food. You just grab your cookies and go.

Many people have reported losing a lot of weight on this diet. Some of the testimonials on Dr Siegals website report people losing up to 1 pound per day, although the doctor himself recommends about 10 pounds of fat loss per month.

On the downside however, it’s probably fair to note that this is really only a temporary diet plan. You can’t stay on this plan for life. So once you’ve reached your goal and lost the weight, you’ll probably want to adopt a more sensible, lower calorie eating plan – with the occasional cookie for a snack.

There are other cookie type diets as well however they don’t have the history or proven results of the original Dr Siegal diet. If you’re thinking about trying one of these diet, you may want to do a lot of research before (and definitely talk to your doctor before starting any diet or exercise plan).

So is it for you?

It really depends on what you’re looking for. The cookie diet would probably be best for someone who wants to lose a lot of weight fast, but safely. Someone who doesn’t do well on deprivation-type diets and who likes their sweets. It also would fit someone who has a very busy lifestyle and doesn’t have time to prepare food.

How Manuel Uribe Lost Over 600 Pounds! The Zone Diet’s Biggest Success

Manuel Uribe happens to be the world’s heaviest man at 1200 pounds. He managed to lose weight and stay in excellent health condition. He did not do this by surgery, contrary to the rumors that have been spread around. He managed to do this through sheer determination and the Zone diet. The key importance to this regimen is that it focuses on what we eat that affects our hormones. This regimen promises to keep your hormones balanced.

The Zone diet is different from other typical weight loss regimens. In this regimen, you will get to eat more carbohydrates. Low-carb diets became popular because they work. Low-carb regimens work in a way that your body is depleted of carbohydrates, thus you burn fat instead of energy. The major disadvantage of low-carb regimens is that you get the feeling of tiredness and you have low energy.

This regimen will make you eat more carbohydrates, thus you get to feel more energized. It is a fact that you feel fatigue and have bad mood swings when you are in a low-carb diet. This is the reason that some people give up.

The Zone diet will manipulate your hormones in order to lose those extra pounds. It emphasizes eating mini meals and eating more frequently. Eating smaller meals causes less secretion of insulin, the hormone that is responsible for making us fat. The result of this is that your body will stop putting on too much fat. When you eat frequently, your body will be constantly digesting food, thus it will have a higher metabolic rate.

Exercise is also another key factor to busting the fat. There are a lot of exercise machines that can help you achieve a sexy body. It is best to consult a professional if you want your regimen to be successful.
